PC Ryan Davis’s world was torn apart on Good Friday after a vicious assault during an undercover op in Hereford. The West Mercia officer now battles serious injuries and a gruelling mental health fight following the savage attack.
Undercover Sting Turns Nasty
PC Davis was on duty protecting vulnerable women and girls when he and his team broke up a brutal street brawl on Union Street. The violence erupted after Richard and Alex Quinn, a ruthless father-and-son duo, launched a savage beating on a man.
Last September, both Quinn men were convicted of assault. But the chaos didn’t end there.
Quinn Women Fined After Police Assault
Richard’s wife, Carolynn Quinn, 44, and Robynn Quinn, 22, were slapped with over £2,500 in fines after attacking two female officers in the early hours of 30 March. Both officers suffered minor injuries in the shocking assault.
- Carolynn fined £1,780
- Robynn fined £780
- Fines included compensation for one officer
Detective Constable Jeffrey Dube said: “No one should expect to come to work and be assaulted. We welcome this result from the courts which sends a clear message that any kind of assault on any emergency worker is unacceptable.”
‘Ruthless’ Quinn Clan Leaves PC Davis Broken
The brutality didn’t stop with the initial brawl. Richard and Alex unleashed relentless violence on PC Davis, leaving him with a dislocated, broken ankle, a fractured lower leg, multiple other breaks, and deep facial wounds — including serious eye damage.
The attack has left the officer’s body battered and his spirit tested as he faces recovery on all fronts.
