Birthday Bash Ends Behind Bars for Oliver Hamilton-Harris
Pub Crawl Turns Ugly in Herne Bay
Oliver Hamilton-Harris, 45, ended his birthday celebrations the worst way possible — locked up after savagely attacking a mate following a pub crawl in Herne Bay.
On 8 November 2025, Hamilton-Harris spent the afternoon drinking with a friend, gearing up for his big day the next day. But trouble kicked off around 6pm when the pair left a local pub and headed to a house on Herne Bay High Street.
What started as an argument quickly exploded into a brutal fight in the front garden. Things turned deadly when Hamilton-Harris stormed inside, grabbed a weapon, and attacked his friend, stabbing him multiple times.
Victim Stabbed and Traumatised
The victim suffered stab wounds to his side, back, and chest. Disoriented but alive, he fled to a nearby house where emergency services were called. He was rushed to hospital, treated for his injuries, and has since been discharged.
Police reviewed CCTV footage and tracked down Hamilton-Harris the very next day—his birthday—arresting him on charges of grievous bodily harm with intent.
Two Years & Two Months in Jail for Birthday Brawl
Appearing at Margate Magistrates’ Court on 10 November 2025, Hamilton-Harris pleaded guilty. He was remanded until his sentencing hearing at Canterbury Crown Court on 19 March 2026.
He was handed a prison sentence of two years and two months for the violent attack.
Detective Constable Amy Drury said: “This was a senseless and unprovoked attack that the victim was fortunate to survive. I welcome the court’s decision to impose a prison sentence on this violent offender, and I hope it offers the victim some closure as he continues to recover emotionally and physically from this attack by a once close friend.”
