West Midlands Police have made a significant arrest in the fight against gun crime in Birmingham. Logan Turner, aged 28, was taken into custody during a raid on a property in the city on November 27, as part of a planned firearms warrant executed by the gangs team.
Turner appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court on November 28, where he faced four serious charges. These include two counts of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life and two counts of possessing ammunition with the same intent. In addition to these firearms offences, Turner is charged with possession of cannabis with intent to supply and possession of criminal property, which includes a stash of cash found during the raid.
The arrest is part of Operation Target, an initiative by West Midlands Police aimed at tackling organised crime across the region. This operation focuses on disrupting drug dealing, burglary, cybercrime, fraud, and other serious offences affecting local communities.
Police are intensifying their efforts by using detailed local intelligence to seize illegal goods, execute warrants, and pursue offenders. Operation Target’s goal is to dismantle criminal networks and enhance safety for residents in Birmingham and the wider West Midlands area.
