Shock grips Rhondda Cynon Taf as four criminals are found guilty of the fatal shooting of Joanne Penney last year. The deadly attack rocked the community back in March 2025.
Brutal Talbot Green Shooting
On Sunday, 9 March 2025, at 6:10pm, police were called to a home on Llys Illtyd, Talbot Green. They discovered Joanne Penney with a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. Despite desperate efforts by emergency teams, Joanne died instantly at the scene.
Four Convicted at Cardiff Crown Court
Cardiff Crown Court today delivered guilty verdicts against four offenders:
- Kistina Ginova, 23, from Leicestershire
- Melissa Quailey-Dashper, 40, from Leicester
- Jordan Mills-Smith, 33, from Cardiff
- Joshua Gordon, 27, from Leicestershire
All were convicted of Joanne’s murder in a case that has shocked the whole region.
Fifth Man Pleads Guilty
Meanwhile, Marcus Huntley, 21, from St Mellons, Cardiff, has already pleaded guilty to murder and involvement in organised crime. His sentencing is expected soon.
