Five Behind Bars After Brutal West Bromwich Pub Brawl Kills Man
Five thugs have been jailed following the shocking death of Matthew Adams, who died days after a vicious attack at a West Bromwich pub.
Horrific Attack at West Bromwich Pub
Matthew, 33, was savagely assaulted at the Gough Arms on Jowett’s Lane in the early hours of 19 March 2023. He was celebrating at a family disco with his partner when trouble suddenly erupted just after midnight.
John Wise, Nichola Stanley, her brother Ryan Stanley, Mark Shorthouse, and a 17-year-old teen stormed into the pub. After hurling offensive remarks at Matthew’s partner, a violent brawl broke out.
Brutal Assault Inside and Outside Pub
Matthew was punched and kicked repeatedly in the head and body. The violent teenager even weaponised a floor sign during the attack. The chaos spilled outside, where Matthew was left unconscious for nearly three minutes.
