A former teacher has been charged over alleged non-recent sexual abuse at Holmewood House Prep School in Langton Green, near Tunbridge Wells. The disturbing claims date from 1979 to 1985, involving pupils from that era.

Neil Scott, 75, from St Austell, Cornwall, faces four counts of indecent assault and five counts of gross indecency with a child. At Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on June 11, Scott pleaded not guilty to all allegations. He is currently out on bail and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on July 9.

Kent Police continue to investigate the case and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Witnesses or anyone with relevant information can contact police on 01622 604100 and quote reference 46/YY/12142/23.
