Brighton Man Jailed After Drugs Found Hidden in Car Steering Wheel

A Brighton man has been locked up after police uncovered Class A drugs stuffed inside a sock hidden in his car’s steering wheel in Tamworth.

Driver’s Dodgy Deal Busted in Tamworth

24-year-old Basta Basha was caught red-handed when officers spotted him acting suspiciously in the Two Gates area last January. When stopped, police found four snap bags of cocaine cleverly concealed inside a black sock wedged in the steering wheel column.

Heavy Sentence and Multiple Charges

On 20 February at Stafford Crown Court, Basha pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of criminal property, and driving without a licence or insurance. He now faces a heavy jail sentence for his criminal activity.
