Swindon drug gang boss Kyum Raham, 23, locked up for over five years after exploiting teens for his criminal empire.
Snapchat Predator Groomed Under-16s for Drug Running
Kyum Raham, once from Rodbourne Cheney, Swindon, admitted to a sickening criminal plot. He arranged travel for exploitation and coordinated the supply of cocaine, heroin, and cannabis.
Using Snapchat, Raham preyed on vulnerable youngsters under 16. He lured them with cash, then forced them into pushing drugs across Swindon, treating them as expendable pawns in a brutal drug gang.
Heavy Sentence and Tough Slavery Prevention Order
The court handed Raham five years and seven months behind bars. On top of the jail time, he received a harsh 10-year Slavery and Trafficking Prevention Order (STPO).
This order clamps down hard on his freedom, banning unsupervised contact with anyone under 18, forcing him to declare all social media profiles, register his phones, and report any change of address to police immediately.
Police Hail Teamwork for Taking Predator Off Streets
“This STPO is a significant achievement,” said Detective Inspector Champion from the Serious Organised Crime Unit. “Raham is a predator who exploited victims for his own gain.
“He’s banned from unsupervised contact with anyone under 18, must disclose all social media accounts, register phones, and immediately notify police of any address changes.
“I commend the officers involved for their hard work securing this order and putting Raham behind bars. Thanks to the National County Lines Coordination Centre for their support.”
