Drill Rapper Dsavv Nabbed After Wild Double Jailbreak and Cross-Channel Getaway

Knife-Point Robber Turned Escape Artist

  • Daniel Boakye, 21, known as drill rapper Dsavv, was behind bars for knife-point robberies and facing deportation to Ghana.
  • He first broke out of custody on 10 February at West Middlesex University Hospital but was swiftly caught.
  • On 15 February, he pulled off a second escape from Lewisham Hospital and vanished for over two weeks.
  • French police caught him near Nantes after reports he was smuggled out hidden in a lorry.

Trolling Cops with Rap and Dance Moves

Rather than lying low, Boakye flaunted his freedom on Instagram. Nearly a million fans watched as he danced shirtless and rapped his jailbreak exploits.

“I just broke out of jail like Modie,” he boasted, referencing Netflix’s Top Boy. “F*** the government fam, they’s phoneys. Done it twice, now they think I’m insane… catch me if you can.”

His track, The Race, crowned him “the boss of UK,” taunted the Met, and bragged about slipping police custody—not once but twice.

Back Behind Bars and Hunt Underway for Accomplices

The Met confirmed Boakye’s arrest in La Bouëxière, near Nantes, and say he will be returned to the UK imminently.

Meanwhile, detectives are hot on the trail of those who helped him escape. The investigation into the suspected smuggling network is ongoing.
