Woman Charged with Murder After Toddler Stabbed to Death in Mitcham

Sutha Sivanantham, 35, of Monarch Parade, Mitcham, has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a five-year-old girl.

Sivanantham is due to appear via video link at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 11 September.
Knife Attack Shocks Local Community
Police rushed to a Monarch Parade address at 4pm on Tuesday, 30 June after reports of two people injured.
Officers discovered a woman and a young girl with knife wounds.
Little Girl Dies in Hospital
The five-year-old, later identified as Sayagi Sivanantham, was rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
A post-mortem at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital confirmed stab injuries as the cause of death on 3 July.
