Tragedy on Edge Hill Court: Elderly Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Mercedes
Police were scrambled at 6.56pm on Tuesday, 2 November, after reports of a black Mercedes crashing into an 83-year-old man on Edge Hill Court, SW19.
Man Rushed to Hospital But Sadly Dies
Emergency services, including officers and the London Ambulance Service, arrived swiftly. The elderly victim was taken to a south London hospital in critical condition but tragically died the following afternoon on 3 November.
His next of kin have been informed.
Driver Stays at Scene, Investigation Underway
The Mercedes driver stopped immediately and is cooperating with police. So far, no arrests have been made.
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are probing the crash and urge anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash cam footage to come forward.
