Nightmare by the Tungabhadra Canal
The brutal crime took place on March 6, 2025, near the Tungabhadra Left Bank Canal in Sanapura, close to the ancient ruins of Hampi. Police say the three convicts confronted five tourists—two women and three men—demanding money.
“When denied, the trio attacked, pushing three men into the canal and sexually assaulting the women,” police revealed.
Two men managed to swim to safety, but tragically, the tourist from Odisha drowned amid the chaos.
