Predator Targets Drunk Women in Darlington Pub
Mohammed Mohammed, 24, a Sudanese refugee from Newton Aycliffe, has been jailed for almost six years after terrorising women in a Darlington pub. Over a chilling 30 minutes, he harassed several intoxicated women—blocking one’s path, trying to force a kiss on another, and touching a third’s hair without consent.
Grotesque Assault in Women’s Toilet Cubicle
The vile attacker followed one woman into the pub’s female toilet cubicle, pretending to be a bouncer checking ID. When she opened the door, he shoved her against the wall, unbuckled his belt, and groped her under her dress despite her repeated “no” pleas. The assault ended only when a friend burst in, allowing staff to detain him.
Victim Left Traumatised, Life Changed Forever
The victim revealed the ordeal shattered her sense of safety. She now avoids public toilets alone, stays on high alert around men, and even alters how she dresses to protect herself. The trauma has left deep scars.
Judge Brands Mohammed ‘Dangerous Offender’
At Teesside Crown Court, Judge Jonathan Carroll slammed Mohammed as a “dangerous offender” who used “trickery and force” in a predatory attack that crushed women’s confidence. Judge Carroll rejected Mohammed’s attempt to withdraw his guilty plea after a year-long legal stalling and sentenced him to 5 years, 11 months, and 2 weeks in prison.
He must serve an extra three years on extended licence after release. While justice may offer cold comfort, at least this vile predator is behind bars—for now.
