Child Sex Offender Slapped with 13-Year Jail Term

A 46-year-old man from Crowborough has been locked up for 13 years after pleading guilty to a string of horrific child sex crimes.

Ray Lombard, of Croft Road, faced justice at Lewes Crown Court on 15 January 2026 over appalling charges involving child sexual exploitation.

Shocking Child Sex Crimes Exposed

  • Producing and possessing child abuse images
  • Inciting a child under 13 to take part in sexual acts
  • Arranging and facilitating child sex offences

Sussex Police caught Lombard after tracing him accessing vile child abuse material online. The investigation uncovered he livestreamed abuse, paid offenders overseas, and engaged in sick discussions about paedophilia.

More than 5,000 abusive images were found across multiple devices, including the worst Category A and B material and extreme pornography. Screen recordings revealed he streamed live child sexual abuse scenes.

Paid to Exploit a Child Under Five

The darkest detail? Lombard admitted to paying a vulnerable Ukrainian woman to create abuse material involving her daughter, aged under five.

He was arrested on 19 March 2024 and charged nearly a year later on 12 March 2025 with a raft of horrifying offences. His guilty plea at Lewes Crown Court on 31 October 2025 sealed his fate.

The judge ordered all seized devices destroyed and slapped him with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Police Warn of Growing Online Dangers

“These crimes represent a profound abuse of trust and a complete disregard for the safety, dignity and wellbeing of some of the most vulnerable members of society,” said Detective Sergeant David Rose of Sussex Police’s Online Child Abuse Team.

The force highlighted ongoing efforts to catch offenders, disrupt online abuse rings, and arm parents with vital safety information.
