Drug Dealer Lee James Jailed for Seven Years After £500K Cocaine and Cannabis Haul Busted
Lee James, 39, from Shavington, has been slammed with a hefty seven-year jail term for dishing out Class A and B drugs in Crewe. The dealer raked in more than half a million pounds before cops finally smashed his operation.
Flashy BMW Stop Seals Dealer’s Fate
On 1 July 2024, officers pulled over James cruising in a flashy blue BMW M5 on Bradfield Road. They found over £1,000 in cash and two mobile phones — classic dealer giveaways. A failed drug test sealed his arrest.
Ransacking his home, cops uncovered cannabis vape pens, a stunning £15,800 gold Rolex, and an £8,300 gold-plated chain. Despite the haul, James was initially let out on bail while investigations heated up.
Luxuries Confiscated in Follow-Up Police Raid
The saga didn’t end there. On 11 December 2024, police swooped again, seizing more evidence of James’s high-rolling lifestyle:
- £2,455 in cash
- £4,000 e-bike
- Cannabis vapes and gummies
- Designer clothes, shoes, handbags, and perfumes worth over £38,000
“Those luxury goods were seized, and he’s now behind bars, forced to consider whether it was worth it,” a police source said.
“Drugs damage more than just users; whole communities suffer. Our crackdown on dealers like James continues relentlessly.”
