Shocking Brighton Rape Case Ends in Jail
Darrell Moore, 34, has been slapped with a lengthy prison sentence for a brutal sexual assault on a woman he met during a night out in Brighton.
Night Out Turns Nightmare
Moore and his friend met two women and headed back to one of the girl’s homes. While Moore’s mate went into a bedroom with one woman, Moore was left alone with the victim. Prosecutor Thomas Cleeve revealed at Hove Crown Court that Moore raped the victim twice and sexually assaulted her twice in the early hours of 15 May 2022.
Despite Moore’s denial, the jury found him guilty last October.
No Excuse, No Mercy
Moore’s barrister argued he suffered from a sensory processing disorder, causing social difficulties. But Judge David Rennie wasn’t having it, telling the court: “Moore has no excuse, no mitigation whatsoever, and showed no remorse.”
Moore was just 30 when he committed the horrific offences.
