Teen Charged in Andover Burglary Spree
An 18-year-old man has landed in hot water over a recent crime wave in Andover. Tarik Oliveira, from London, faced Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday, January 4) charged with a string of burglaries.
Ten Burglaries Under Investigation
Oliveira is accused of five counts of burglary dwelling, one count of attempted burglary, and four counts of aggravated burglary. The aggravated charges relate to incidents where he allegedly carried a knife during four of the break-ins.
Crime Wave Hits Andover in 2016
All offences stem from a series of domestic burglaries that shook Andover back in September 2016. Authorities have linked Oliveira directly to these incidents.
Next Court Date Set
The teenager was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Winchester Crown Court on January 25. Police vow to crack down hard on burglary offenders in the area.
