Sussex Police have nabbed two burglars after separate break-ins rocked Brighton and Felpham in the early hours of Tuesday, 24 February.

Felpham Burglar Caught Thanks to Heroic Police Dog Billy

Just after 2.30am, police swooped on a home in Limmer Lane, Felpham following a burglary alert. The ace police dog PD Billy tracked down 22-year-old Jacob Meigh from Stoke-on-Trent right at the scene.

Meigh now faces serious charges, including burglary with intent to steal and going equipped for burglary. He appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on 27 February and was granted bail until 7 April.

Less than two hours later, officers raced to Kensington Gardens, Brighton after another break-in was reported. Police dog PD Gibbs sniffed out 45-year-old David Mann, a man with no fixed address.
