Man Charged Over Shocking Portsmouth Police Stabbing

A 19-year-old man has been charged after a police officer was stabbed in broad daylight in Portsmouth.

Attack in Stamshaw Park

The officer was attacked at around 12:20pm on Thursday, February 21, in Stamshaw Park. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Suspect Held for Serious Charges

Michael Enzanga, who has no fixed address, faces charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court on Saturday, February 23.
