Havant experienced significant road disruption after a BMW overturned on Barncroft Way near Hazelholt Drive. The incident occurred just before 2pm on Wednesday, prompting emergency services to respond swiftly.
Police have closed both sides of Barncroft Way following the serious crash involving the overturned vehicle. The South Central Ambulance Service paramedics attended the scene promptly.
Fortunately, police confirmed that all occupants escaped the crash without injury. A lorry driver who witnessed the event reported that the BMW was travelling at a speed well above the 30mph limit.
“The BMW went flying past my lorry at an excessive speed. It sounded like an explosion when it happened,” the driver said.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the overturn on the 30mph restricted road. Drivers are advised to avoid Barncroft Way and seek alternative routes while the probe continues.
