Third Man Charged with Murder in Cheam Shooting
A third suspect has been charged over a fatal shooting in Cheam that shocked the community.
Gary Hayde, 34, from Cheam, was charged on Saturday, 27 June, with the murder of 25-year-old Kyle Kelson.
Fatal Shooting on Brocks Drive
The shooting happened in the early hours of Friday, 19 June, at 1:12 am on Brocks Drive, North Cheam. Police, including armed officers, rushed to the scene and found Kyle Kelson suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite their efforts, he died shortly after.
Other Suspects Held
Two other men have already been charged with Kyle’s murder:
- Luke Matthews, 28, of Ifield, Crawley, West Sussex
- Aaron McGrath, 27, of Sutton
Both men remain in custody and are due to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 30 June.
Next Steps in Court
Gary Hayde appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court in custody on Monday, 29 June. He is set to face the Old Bailey on Wednesday, 1 July.
