Last October 25, Rugby CCTV operators spotted three suspicious men lurking in a graveyard. Police quickly swooped and detained them.
Drug Stash Found in Shocking Place
During a station search, 19-year-old Yaneez Ahmad, from Wentworth Road, was caught red-handed. He had 45 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin hidden in the rear of his underpants. The haul was worth around £450 on the streets.
Dealer Gets Three Years Behind Bars
Ahmad was charged with possession with intent to supply both crack cocaine and heroin. On Friday, May 5, Warwick Crown Court sentenced him to three years in a young offenders institute.
Police Warn Drug Users and Dealers Alike
“Anyone who has the cheek to attempt to deal crack, heroin or any other dangerous substances in our town can expect to meet us, sooner or later,” warned Detective Constable Matthew Rapkins.
“I hope those who continue to support misery and exploitation by buying illegal drugs enjoy the knowledge that underpants – and the body parts that dwell within them – are the dealer’s favoured hiding spot. And their wraps are rarely airtight.”
