County Lines Dealer Jailed After £700 Stash Found in Underwear
Andrew Paul Christian Brown, 46, was busted by North Yorkshire Police’s Operation Expedite team on 17 September 2020 in Montpellier Hill. The dealer was caught red-handed with more than £700 stashed in his underwear.
Guilty Plea Lands Brown Behind Bars for Over Five Years
Brown faced charges of supplying heroin throughout 2019 and 2020, as well as possession of criminal property. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced at York Crown Court on 19 February 2021 to five years and seven months in prison. The court also ordered the confiscation of £716 and imposed a victim surcharge.
Police Crackdown on County Lines Drug Dealing
Detective Constable Tom Barker declared: “Brown’s conviction and prison sentence should send a very clear message to anyone involved in county lines drug dealing in our area: North Yorkshire Police will target you and make it extremely difficult to carry out your criminal activity.”
He added, “Harrogate is one of the safest places in the country, and officers here are working hard to keep it that way.”

The police urged locals to speak up anonymously if they have any information about drug activity. North Yorkshire’s Expedite teams are dedicated not only to catching dealers but also protecting vulnerable victims targeted by organised crime groups.
