Man Charged Over Greenwich Woman's Death
Ricky Woodford, 42, from Henwick Road, SE9, appeared at the Old Bailey on Monday, 6 September. He remains in custody ahead of his sentencing on 11 November 2021.
Grim Discovery in SE9 Home
Police were called to a Henwick Road address at 10.24am on Friday, 30 October 2020 amid concerns for the welfare of those inside. Officers found 39-year-old Sarah Smith’s body at the scene.
Woodford Arrested on Murder Suspicion
Woodford was immediately arrested on suspicion of murder and taken into custody. A post-mortem at Greenwich Mortuary the next day confirmed Sarah died from head injuries.
