A woman in her thirties tragically died after a severe head-on crash on the A3 in Hindhead on the evening of Tuesday, March 3rd. She sustained life-threatening injuries in the collision and later passed away in hospital. Her family has been informed and is receiving specialist support.
The crash involved two Ford Fiestas and occurred just before 6:30pm near the northbound Hindhead Tunnel on the A3. A black Ford Fiesta suddenly crossed the central reservation after exiting the tunnel, colliding head-on with a grey Ford Fiesta travelling southbound.
Police are urgently seeking witnesses to the incident and any dashcam footage that may assist their investigation. Officers are keen to understand why the black Fiesta veered into oncoming traffic. Anyone who saw either vehicle before the crash is encouraged to come forward, as dashcam and helmet-cam footage could be crucial in solving the case.
