Police are currently investigating a burglary in West Ashton after thieves broke into a home and stole cash and jewellery. The incident took place at a property on Bratton Road between 10.30am and 1.40pm last Friday, 9th October.

The intruder gained entry by smashing through a rear conservatory door before making off with a stash of valuables.

PC Ashton Schorah from the Trowbridge Area Community Policing Team said: “We’ve carried out forensic tests and spoken to neighbours close by. Now, we want anyone who was in the area on Friday and noticed suspicious behaviour – odd people or vehicles – to get in touch.”

Wiltshire Police are urging anyone with information, including private CCTV or dash cam footage, to come forward to assist with the investigation. Witnesses are asked to call 101 and quote the crime reference number provided by the police.
