Teen fatally stabbed in Forest Gate – police launch murder probe
A man, believed to be just 18, was stabbed to death in Forest Gate late Monday evening. The Met Police have launched a full murder investigation but have yet to make any arrests.
Stabbing at Chestnut Avenue
Officers were called to Chestnut Avenue, E7, at around 10:50pm on April 16 following reports of a stabbing. Responding alongside London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance paramedics, they found the victim at the scene.
The young man was pronounced dead at 11:27pm. His identity is yet to be formally confirmed, and officers are informing his next of kin.
Crime scene cordoned off as hunt begins
Police have sealed off the area as their urgent investigation gets underway. No suspects are in custody so far, and detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “A police investigation has been launched after a man was fatally stabbed in Forest Gate. Officers and paramedics attended swiftly, but sadly the victim died at the scene. We urge any witnesses or those with information to call 101 quoting CAD 8332/apr16.”
