Teen Stabbed to Death Outside Mosque in Smethwick
A brutal stabbing outside a mosque in Smethwick has left an 18-year-old dead. West Midlands Police were called to the chaos on Oldbury Road just before 9pm on 20 February. The young victim suffered critical injuries and tragically died at the scene.
Two Others Injured but Their Lives Not in Danger
Two other men, aged 19 and 22, were also stabbed and rushed to hospital. Thankfully, their injuries are not life-threatening. Police are combing through CCTV footage and gathering evidence as the murder investigation gets underway.
Not Being Treated as Hate Crime, Police Confirm
Officers have confirmed the attack is not currently seen as religiously or racially motivated. They are focused on uncovering what triggered the violence and identifying those responsible.
