Officers found 17 knives – including deadly machetes – and an alleged suicide bomb vest hidden in the teenager’s bedroom. The boy is also accused of sharing Islamic State propaganda linked to the Paris attacks, plus grisly footage of explosions and killings on the battlefield.
Terror Charges Piled Up
On 18 March, he was formally charged with a string of serious offences:
- Two counts of disseminating terrorist publications (Terrorism Act 2006)
- Three counts of possessing articles for terrorism (Terrorism Act 2000)
- Two counts of possessing material useful for terrorism (Terrorism Act 2000)
- Failure to comply with a notice under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA)
