West Yorkshire Police are actively hunting for three men after a brutal assault took place in Pontefract town centre, leaving two people seriously injured.
The incident occurred in the Beastfair area, with police responding to multiple emergency calls at 1:12am on Monday, 26 August. Officers established a crime scene in Star Yard following the attack.
At the scene, a 25-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man were found with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Both victims were taken for medical treatment.
The Wakefield District CID have been reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity and have identified three males who may hold vital information related to the assault.
Detective Inspector Jane Smith stated, “We are appealing to the public for help identifying these three individuals. They could have crucial information about what happened that night.”
Police are urging anyone who recognises the men to contact Wakefield CID. Reports can be made through the West Yorkshire Police Live Chat or by calling 101, quoting crime reference 13240464498.
The three men themselves are also encouraged to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.

Additionally, anyone who was in the Beastfair area between 00:30 and 01:30 on 26 August and witnessed any suspicious activity is asked to contact the police.
