Teen Girl Threatened by Stranger in Burgess Hill Alley
Police are on the hunt after a teenage girl was threatened by a man while walking to school in Burgess Hill on Thursday morning, 16 October.
The incident happened at around 8.10am in an alley off Maple Drive, near Packham Way. The man approached the girl, made threats, but she managed to escape unharmed.
Police Release Suspect Description
The attacker is a slim, white male in his mid-20s, with blue eyes and stubble. He wore a black leather jacket over a white hoodie and blue jeans.
Detective Chief Inspector Pauline Lane said, “This was a distressing incident for the victim on her way to school, which we are taking very seriously.”
She added, “We are urging anyone who saw something suspicious or has CCTV, doorbell, dashcam, or mobile footage to get in touch. Officers are increasing patrols in the area to reassure the community.”
