Man Dies After Brutal Gang Attack in Keighley

A 35-year-old man has died following a vicious gang assault in Keighley, sparking a full-scale murder probe. Suhail Choudry succumbed to his injuries in hospital on Wednesday, February 11, after being found seriously hurt days earlier.

Targeted Assault Near East Avenue

West Yorkshire Police revealed detectives believe the attack was targeted. Suhail was found with life-threatening head injuries on Flasby Street in the early hours of Sunday, February 8.

“Detectives are continuing to investigate the incident, which is now being led by the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team,” said a police spokesperson.

Three Men Arrested and Released on Bail

  • A 27-year-old man initially arrested for attempted murder has been rearrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
  • A 30-year-old man, also arrested for attempted murder, was released on bail pending further inquiries.
  • A 33-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has likewise been released on bail.

The police are urging anyone with information on the savage attack to come forward as the investigation heats up.
