Police and paramedics rushed to High Holborn in the dead of night following a brutal stabbing attack near Red Lion Street and Gray’s Inn Road.
Multiple Victims With Life-Threatening Injuries
At around 3:15am on Sunday, officers were alerted after two men turned up at a south London hospital with stab wounds. A 34-year-old man is in critical condition, while a 27-year-old sustained less severe injuries. Both are believed to have been hurt during a fight on High Holborn, where a crime scene remains active.
Second Scene Uncovered On Clerkenwell Road
Just 15 minutes later, police found another two men, both aged 25, injured in a car parked on Clerkenwell Road with its hazard lights on. Officers administered first aid before paramedics arrived. One victim remains in life-threatening condition, while the other was discharged and promptly arrested on suspicion of GBH. The arrested man is now in custody.
Road Closures & Traffic Chaos
A large police cordon is blocking off the area near Red Lion Street. Traffic and bus diversions are in place, with drivers urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes while investigations continue.
