Kent Police are urgently appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision occurred on Main Road near Crockham Hill. The crash involved a black Mini Countryman and a black Honda motorcycle at the junction with Dairy Lane and Dennettsland Road.

The incident happened shortly after 8am on Wednesday 27 June 2018. Despite the rapid response from officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service, the motorcyclist, a 29-year-old man from Caterham, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have confirmed that his family have been informed.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit have launched an investigation and are asking anyone who saw either vehicle before or during the crash to come forward. Drivers with dashcam footage are particularly encouraged to contact the police, as every detail could be vital to understanding the circumstances of the collision.

Police stress that anyone with relevant information could play a crucial role in piecing together what happened on that tragic morning.
