North London Man Arrested Over Chad Gordon Murder

Police have arrested a 23-year-old man from north London in connection with the fatal shooting of Chad Gordon. The suspect was taken into custody on Tuesday, 26 May and remains held as detectives continue their probe.

Chilling Evening Incident in Wiltshire Gardens

Just after 8pm on Monday, 18 May, officers were called to Wiltshire Gardens, N4, following reports of gunfire and a man shot. Both armed and local police raced to the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service, only to find Chad with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.

Despite frantic attempts to save him, Chad was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem confirmed the cause of death as a gunshot wound.

Suspects on Mopeds Flee After Attack

Police believe Chad was shot after opening the door to two suspects clad in dark clothing and motorcycle helmets. The attackers fled the scene on a moped, heading towards Finsbury Park Avenue.

Days later, officers discovered the getaway moped burnt out in Tottenham Marshes, a key lead in the fast-moving investigation.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Partridge, leading the homicide investigation, said: “We’ve made progress thanks to public help but believe there are still witnesses who haven’t come forward. Please think about Chad’s family and do the right thing. We will support you.”
