Manhunt on for Murder Suspect After Woman Found Dead in Sunderland
Police are hunting 32-year-old Alexander Carr following the shocking discovery of Michelle Hanson’s body at a Sunderland home.

Michelle Hanson was found lifeless at a property on Brady Street, Sunderland on December 3. Officers quickly launched a murder probe and identified Carr as a key person of interest.
£10,000 Reward to Find Carr
- Northumbria Police and charity Crimestoppers have offered a £10,000 reward for info leading to Carr’s arrest.
- The public are warned not to approach Carr but to contact police immediately if they spot him or know where he is.
Police Plea for Information
“First and foremost, our thoughts continue to be with Michelle’s family at this devastating time,” said Northumbria Police.
“Her family deserve answers and we are committed to bringing anyone involved to justice. We thank those who have come forward and urge anyone who has seen or knows the whereabouts of Alexander Carr to contact us immediately.”
