A nasty head-on smash near Stanley Park in Chippenham has shut the A4 in both directions this afternoon.
Emergency Rush to the Scene
At around 2.30pm today, a black Tesla and a white Hyundai i10 collided head-on, sending emergency services racing to the scene.
Drivers Hurt but Stable
A man and a woman, the drivers involved, are being treated for injuries. Thankfully, sources say their conditions are stable and not believed to be serious. Their families have been informed.
Road Closure and Recovery Underway
Police have closed the A4 and called in recovery teams. The road is expected to reopen soon. Motorists travelling between Chippenham and Calne should use alternate routes while crews clear the wreckage.
