Counter-terror cops have swooped on a shocking double stabbing at a north London school. A 13-year-old boy is in custody, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a brutal attack at Kingsbury High School.
Two Boys Seriously Hurt in Kingsbury High Stabbing
The terrifying attack happened just after 12.30pm on Tuesday at Kingsbury High in Brent. Two pupils, aged 12 and 13, were stabbed and suffered serious injuries. One was rushed to a major trauma centre. Both victims remain in a critical condition.
Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams confirmed a weapon has been seized. No further suspects are being hunted. Counter-terror officers now lead the probe, though the attack hasn’t been officially dubbed a terror act.
“At this very early stage, we’re keeping an open mind as to any motivation behind this attack,” said Williams. “Due to the surrounding circumstances, the investigation is now being led by officers from Counter-Terrorism Policing London.”
Rapid Emergency Response and School Lockdown
London Ambulance Service launched a huge response – sending multiple ambulance crews, advanced paramedics, tactical units, and a trauma team from the London Air Ambulance. Kingsbury High was quickly put into lockdown, with all entrances sealed off while emergency teams worked.
Authorities haven’t revealed if the attacker and victims knew each other or if all attend Kingsbury High. They are probing all motives, including possible ideological reasons, as counter-terror officers dig deeper.
Further updates on the victims’ conditions and the ongoing investigation will follow. Meanwhile, the school remains on high alert with forensic teams combing the crime scene.
