A reckless silver car slammed into a parked vehicle at high speed before the impact sent it smashing into the side of the George and Dragon pub in Portsmouth. The collision happened at around 3:45am on Monday, ripping through the pub’s wall and causing severe structural damage.

Washington Road, just off Kingston Road, remains closed to traffic. Workers from Colas, hired by Portsmouth City Council, have cordoned off the area fearing the damaged pub could collapse. The crash shattered the front wheels of the parked car and left the building dangerously unstable.
