The kit lets children watch earthworms tunnel through layers of sand and soil. Sold from November 2022 to February 2026, this toy turned toxic after safety checks exposed asbestos contamination. Made in China, it fails UK safety standards.

What To Do If You Own The Kit

If you’ve got the kit, stop using it right away. Keep it well out of children’s reach.
- If unopened: Seal sand vials in a tough plastic bag, double tape it, label it clearly, and store safely.
- If used: Clean affected areas with wet cloths to stop dust spreading. Wear gloves and a mask while cleaning.
- Double-bag used cleaning materials before binning them.
- Keep kids and pets away from contaminated spots until cleaning is done.
