Armed Police Storm Sheppey Home After Hours-Long Standoff
Armed officers were scrambled to Jefferson Road on the Isle of Sheppey Friday evening following a tense disturbance.
Woman Escapes, Man Still Inside Property
Before police arrived, a woman fled the scene. She is believed to be safe and well. The man remaining inside is reportedly known to her.
Standoff Ends Just Before Midnight
The dramatic stand-off began around 5pm and ended shortly before midnight. Police, backed by sniffer dogs, entered the property where an allegedly armed man was arrested.
The incident has since been wrapped up with no reported injuries.
