Shoreham Chaos: 13 Arrested After Night of Mayhem
Police swooped on Shoreham after a night of chaos left the town centre in turmoil. Trouble kicked off just after 10.30pm on Saturday, July 11, when officers were called to reports of a young man smashing up a car on Upper Shoreham Road.
Youth Mob Turns on Police
When cops tried to arrest the suspect, a large gang of youths surrounded them and got aggressive. Reinforcements raced to the scene, focusing on High Street and Shoreham Footbridge – the hotspots for the trouble.
Violent Disorder and Assaults

All have been taken into custody as police clamp down on disorder.
Town Centre on Lockdown
To keep the peace, authorities slapped on a Section 34 dispersal order covering Shoreham town centre until midnight on Monday, July 13. This ban aims to stop large groups of youngsters gathering and causing more trouble.
