Fire Crews Rescue Stranded Casualties from Tidal Danger
Three fire engines and a Water Safety Unit rushed to the scene. Dressed in dry suits, firefighters used a throw line to reach the trapped victims. They then towed them to safety in a dinghy.
The rescued were handed over to South East Coast Ambulance for urgent care.
Emergency Teams Urge Caution Near Rivers and Muddy Shores
Kent Police and the Coastguard also attended the rescue. Teams warned the public to check tide times near rivers and coastal areas.
“Mud can be a hidden hazard,” crews said, “it’s easy to get stuck unexpectedly.”

Rescuers stressed the importance of carrying a mobile phone during outdoor visits. “Having a phone could make all the difference in an emergency,” they added.
