YouTuber and former boxer Billy Moore sustained a painful face injury after hitting a pothole while riding his scooter in Manchester. The accident resulted in grazed skin on his cheek and sparked criticism of Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham regarding the city’s poor road maintenance.
The fall occurred recently as Moore was navigating the streets of Manchester, raising renewed concerns about local road safety and infrastructure upkeep.
Moore described the incident, explaining how he hit the pothole, was thrown over the scooter’s handlebars, and slid face-first along the road for approximately 20 yards. He shared photos of his injuries on social media, revealing the scrapes on the left side of his face caused by the fall.
In a direct message, Moore blamed Mayor Andy Burnham for the condition of the roads, highlighting the large potholes across the city. He stated, “Andy Burnham’s potholes, eh?” expressing his frustration with the ongoing road issues under the mayor’s leadership.
Following the incident, Moore received numerous supportive messages from local residents. Many encouraged him to file a claim against the council due to the hazardous road conditions, while others wished him a quick recovery.
