Sunny skies did not prevent a driver from making a poor decision by ignoring clear flood warnings on Richmond Bridge Road. Despite visible signs warning of flood risks, the driver parked their car in the area and faced the consequences when rising waters submerged the vehicle.
The car was declared a total loss after being submerged in the floodwaters. Emergency services responded quickly to the scene to assist with the situation.
Adding to the urgency, emergency crews discovered dogs trapped inside the flooded car. Fortunately, the animals were rescued safely, preventing what could have been a tragic outcome.
The Metropolitan Police have been contacted regarding the incident and are currently reviewing the circumstances. No further details have been released at this time.
