A huge fire tore through a detached house located at 1 Close, Kings Worthy, early this morning, leaving the property completely destroyed.
Firefighters from six stations including Winchester, Eastleigh, Sutton Scotney, Andover, Fareham, and Ringwood rushed to the scene after multiple 999 calls flooded Fire Service control.
The emergency response also involved the Fire command unit and specialist HART paramedics from South Central Ambulance Services.
Neighbours in the area were advised to keep doors and windows closed and to avoid the vicinity while crews worked to control the blaze.
According to fire officials, “The owner was alerted by a smoke alarm and managed to escape unharmed.” Despite the swift response, the house was completely destroyed, suffering 100% damage and resulting in a total loss.
