Emergency crews responded to a triple car crash on the A27 near Fareham involving a Range Rover, Toyota Yaris, and Audi S3. The collision occurred just after 8pm on Monday night on the outskirts of Fareham, close to the Shell petrol station.
Hampshire Police closed the busy A27 in both directions between Fareham and Titchfield following the serious incident. Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes while the road remains closed.
Firefighters from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue are using specialist cutting equipment to free several people trapped in the wreckage. Paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service are on site treating those injured in the crash.
A critical care team from the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has also been deployed to the scene to provide urgent medical assistance. Authorities have urged the public to avoid the area to allow emergency services to carry out their work safely and efficiently.
