Three boys were hit near the crossing on Tornhill Park, Bitterne, close to Tesco. The incident occurred just after 3pm on Thursday, 3rd March 2022.
Hampshire Constabulary quickly closed the road in both directions following the incident. Crime scene tape was put up as officers began their investigation into the event.
Paramedics treated one of the boys at the scene before rushing him to hospital. Hampshire Police and South Central Ambulance have been contacted for comment.
