Emergency crews rushed to Church Street on the outskirts of Bishops Waltham tonight following a late-night crash involving a Skoda estate that flipped onto its side and collided with a garden fence.
The incident occurred just before 10pm and involved a man in his late 50s who reportedly hit a parked car before his vehicle overturned.
Firefighters from Eastleigh and Bishops Waltham arrived promptly to free the trapped driver. The man was released shortly after 10.40pm and secured on a spinal board before being handed over to the South Central Ambulance Service.
Fortunately, his injuries are not believed to be serious.
The emergency response included the Roads Policing Unit, paramedics, two fire appliances, the Hazardous Area Response Team, and a Rapid Response Vehicle.
The road remains closed in both directions while recovery and clean-up operations continue.
A spokesperson for South Central Ambulance Service said: “A car went into the back of a stationary vehicle and overturned.”
