Emergency crews rushed to a serious coach crash on the M25 near Swanley, Kent, after the vehicle overturned on its side. The incident occurred around 4pm on the anti-clockwise carriageway close to Junction 3.

Kent Police confirmed that the coach, reportedly packed with passengers, left the motorway at the Junction 3 slip road, crashed through safety barriers, and overturned into a ditch.

An army of paramedics were scrambled to the scene, with South East Coast Ambulance Service deploying 15 ambulances. Kent and Surrey Air Ambulance teams also landed nearby to assist with the rescue efforts.

Highways England shut the M25 Junction 3 anti-clockwise exit slip road to allow emergency services full access. Drivers faced delays of over 90 minutes on the approach, with officials urging motorists to seek alternative routes and prepare for heavy traffic.

The exact number of injured remains unknown as paramedics continue treating casualties at the scene. Updates are expected shortly as rescue efforts carry on.
